# Update the Content Scanning status for a zone.

client.contentScanning.update(ContentScanningUpdateParams { zone\_id, value } params, RequestOptionsoptions?): [ContentScanningUpdateResponse](https://developers.cloudflare.com/api/typescript/resources/content%5Fscanning#%28resource%29%20content%5Fscanning%20%3E%20%28model%29%20content%5Fscanning%5Fupdate%5Fresponse%20%3E%20%28schema%29) { modified, value } 

PUT/zones/{zone\_id}/content-upload-scan/settings

Update the Content Scanning status by setting the status value to `enabled` or `disabled`. This is equivalent to calling the dedicated enable and disable endpoints.

Path param: Defines an identifier.

Body param: The status value for Content Scanning.
