## AI Search billing postponed to December 1, 2026, and default sync interval is now 24 hours

#### Billing postponed to December 1, 2026

[AI Search](https://developers.cloudflare.com/ai-search/) billing has been postponed by one month and now begins on December 1, 2026, instead of November 1, 2026. You will not be charged for AI Search usage before December 1, 2026. Pricing and included usage are unchanged.

#### Default sync interval is now 24 hours

The default sync interval for AI Search instances is changing from 6 hours to 24 hours. You can still choose any supported interval, from 15 minutes to 24 hours, with the **Sync interval** setting in your instance settings or the `sync_interval` field in the API.
